Happy 10th Birthday to My Baby Girl

Wow!!!! 10 years to the day when I first held you in my arms. You were so small and innocent. I knew from then on I would always love you. You have a tendancy to stretch mine and your mother's patience, but we love you more now than we ever have.

I know I have done this before I will do it again and again but I want to impart more wisdom from an ever aging old man. I know what it was like to be picked on. I know how it felt to be laughed at, made fun of, and ridiculed. I never wanted that for my girls. And now I see history unfolding in front of me in you.

If I could go back in time and tell myself one thing, and I will tell you too, that is let go of the little
things. Always be patient and friendly. Don't take everything so seriously. I know that if I had
but done these things life might have been better for me. I hope you will listen to your dear old dad and try these things as well. Just remember though, never lose a sense of yourself and what you are. You are a Daughter of God and should always present yourself as such.

You are my baby girl and always will be. You are the eldest an as such you set an example for your younger sisters. I love you more than anything my dear sweet Emma. Happy Birthday and may all your dreams come true.

Love always and forever,

Your Father

Happy Mothers Day

My Dearest Mom,

I found these sayings that would best describe you and what you mean to me on this Mother's Day. I love you.

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.

~Tenneva Jordan

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,

Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,But only one mother the wide world over.

~George Cooper

A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best, but his mother the longest.

~Irish Proverb

"Men are what their mothers made them." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Mother's Love

Your arms were always open when I needed a hug. Your heart understood when I needed a friend. Your gentle eyes were stern when I needed a lesson. Your strength and love has guided me and gave me wings to fly.

- Sarah Malin

And Finally...

M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things you gave me,
"O" means only that your growing old,
"T" is for the tears you shed to save me,
"H" is for your heart of purest gold;
"E" is for your eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right you'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.

Love you Mom,

Your Eldest 'Baby'
